Guided Tour Of The Cozad-Bates House – University Circle Inc.

Take a guided tour of the Cozad-Bates House, the only remaining pre-Civil War House in University Circle. Visit the new interpretive center, which highlights this area’s history of activism on the Underground Railroad and honors those seeking freedom through indoor exhibits and outdoor installations – and take a sneak peek at future phases. Meet in the rear of the house at the Interpretive Center entrance. The finished interpretive center/museum and exterior interpretive garden are fully ADA accessible and will be the first portion of the tour (approximately 45 minutes.) Guests will have the option of going into the unfinished portion of the house which is not accessible and includes stairs. Attendees do not need to participate in both tours.
