Working with corporate and community partners is an important part of our mission and identity.

At Canalway, we are  interested in working with local organizations to better connect people to place for the prosperity of all. Corporate support of our events and our mission helps us develop a wider reach and maintain our offerings of free community events focused on history and recreation. 

Your organization can work with Canalway by becoming a corporate member of our non-profit, sponsoring an event or inviting Canalway to your corporate event as a presenter.

Event Sponsorship

Canalway hosts a variety of annual events that share the story of the Ohio & Erie Canalway and introduce people to natural, cultural and historic amenities in Cuyahoga County.

We’re proud to offer as many events as possible to our community free-of-charge. If you’re interested in supporting one of these events and helping us keep events free to the public, please reach out to our Community Engagement Specialist Kristen Romito. 

Corporate Membership

A corporate membership with Canalway engages employees and connects your organization to the historic sites and trails of the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area. Benefits of a corporate membership include:

• Discounted employee registration to any of our three running races
• Recognition in a post-race e-mail blast and on the Canalway website
• Invitation to member-only events
• Logo and link placed in one e-mail blast per year
