PechaKucha Night in Cleveland

Tom Yablonsky is the founder and vice-chairman of Canalway Partners, and Chairman of the Ohio & Erie Canalway Association.

Tom is a man of many hats, as Executive Vice-President of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, Executive Director of the Historic Gateway District and the Historic Warehouse District, and a member of the Cleveland City Planning Commission’s Downtown Design Review Committee.

Tom will presenting “History is Destiny:  30+ Years of Advocacy in Cleveland” at PechaKucha Cleveland. The event takes place August 27th at Hofbrauhaus (get directions) from 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM.

PechaKucha, Japanese for “chitchat”, and pronounced “pehCHAKchah”, is a free event where 10 creative people present their work, ideas and obsessions. Each presenter is allowed to show 20 images and each image is pretimed to 20 seconds a piece. The presentations are extremely diverse and include art, fashion, food, life, architecture, film, furniture, music, graffiti, community, and photography.
