Take a Hike wins State Historic Preservation Award

Congratulations to the Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation which received a 2015 Public Education and Awareness Award from the Ohio State Historic Preservation Office for its Take a Hike Program.

According to the State Historic Preservation Office:

“The role of historic tax credits and other preservation tools is often emphasized since many of the current developments would not have been possible without these tools and a strong historic preservation ethic.  Judging from attendee feedback, the tours increase understanding and appreciation of Cleveland’s history, historic preservation efforts, and potential for future adaptive re-use projects.”

Take a Hike tours help to bring history to life by featuring actors portraying historic figures important to the history of Cleveland.
