Ohio and Erie Canalway joins “Passport to Your National Parks” program

The Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area has joined the “Passport to Your National Parks” program. The program is designed to encourage visitation and interest in National Park Service sites. The Ohio & Erie Canalway is an affiliated unit of the National Park Service.

Park visitors can purchase a Passport book which provides a place to collect commemorative stamps and park cancellations. Cancellation stamps are free of charge, and will be available at a growing number of venues throughout the Ohio & Erie Canalway.

The Ohio & Erie Canalway is a National Heritage Area, designated by Congress to help preserve and celebrate the rails, trails, landscapes, towns and sites that grew up along the first 110 miles of the canal that helped Ohio and our nation grow.
